~~~~***WELCOME***~~~~
HI !!!
Welcome to The Contented Woman blog...PLEASE feel free to browse all of my articles...
This article is from the book by Debi Pearle...
"Created to be his helpmeet"...
May you enjoy and be convicted at the same time by what you read so that yo want to follow Jesus closer than ever, and ask Him to help you change...
The Hall
There is no permanent cure for genital herpes and many other forms of STDs. Yet one in five young teens in the USA has a sexually transmitted disease. Many statistics also tell us that one in four little girls will be sexually "messed with" by the time they are four years old. One in five little boys will be victims of homosexual abuse. Our children are in grave danger in todays world, not only from emotional trauma, but also from many of these diseases.
How many times will your little toddler wander down the hall(while you sit in a roomful of friends engrossed in a video)before some young "trustworthy" teenage boy slips silently behind him or her and maneuvers her into the bathroom for a four minute "session"? You cannot pray and expect God for supernatural intervention and protection. God has already provided that for her through you. You can and must pray for God to make you a more attentive and sober parent, that you might better protect your children.
You are your babies keeper. PLEASE KEEP THEM WELL.
Hmmmm...I guess that hits it on the spot...if any of you are in this predicament...cry out to YOUR LORD and ask HIM for the strength to obey..
thanks for reading....
bye for now....
TERRI
Next.....I want to tell about my husband going to Heaven and coming back...
PLEASE stay tuned and keep checking back...
Welcome to all who are reading my blog...
"The Contented Woman"
and this is in no means the ONLY way to lead someone to Salvation....
The following Scriptures are known as the Roman Road to Salvation. They are Scriptures from the book of Romans which show God's wondrous way of salvation. It is important that we know these Scriptures. It is most important that our children know these Scriptures. It shows them the way to experience salvation through Jesus Christ. It shows them how to lead another person to Christ.
It is so sad that many Christians today do not even know Scriptures that can help lead someone to Christ. When I talk to young people I find that most of them don't even know these Scriptures, and these are young people who have been brought up in homeschooling families. This is unbelievable! Don't let this be the testimony of your children.
I will list the Scriptures for you. Print them out. Go through them with your children. If they have not yet received Christ into their lives as their Lord and Savior, encourage them to do this. If they are already born again, they need to not only know about, but to memorize these Scriptures so they are equipped to lead another person to Jesus.
1. All have sinned
We have all sinned and therefore fall short of God's standard.
Romans 3:10; 3:23; and 5:12
2. There is a penalty for sin.
If we remain in our sin, we will die, but if we repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will have eternal life.
Romans 6:23
3. Christ died for us
Even though we are sinners, God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die in our place and take the punishment of sin.
Romans 5:8
4. Call upon the Lord
We must call upon the Lord. God promises that when we call upon the name of the Lord we will be saved. There is no other name through which we can receive salvation.
Romans 10:13
5. We must believe and confess
We must believe in our hearts that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), but we must also confess out loud with our mouth that He is Lord and Savior.
Romans 10: 9, 10
6. It's a faith walk
We receive God's salvation by faith. When we are saved, we keep walking by faith which grows stronger as we read God's Word every day.
Romans 10:17
If you have never received Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God into your life and been born again, or if your children are not yet born again, here is a prayer to pray:
"Dear Father, I know that I have sinned and deserve the punishment of my sin which is death. But I thank you that you died in my place and took my sin upon yourself as you died upon the cross and shed your precious blood. Please forgive me for my sin and cleanse me with your precious blood. I thank you that you died, were buried, and rose again for me. I ask you to come into my life and to be Lord of my life. I confess right now that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND SAVIOR OF MY LIFE. Amen.,"
When you are born again into God's family, you are a new baby in Christ. A baby only grows by drinking milk. The more you feed from God's Word the more you will grow strong in your faith and in your walk with God. Read God's Word daily.
Continuation on "The Kingdom that turned the world upside down"....
One needs to read the post from last week, on this new book, and one will understand what this post is about...
So the wicked leader and his soldiers lost little sleep over the Crusders. they knew they had plenty of water, and abundance of food, better arms, and the seemningly impregnable city walls to protect them. And they had 60,000 armed soldiers to defend those walls! Whats more, a relief source of Egyptian Soldiers was on its way to life the siege. And against all of this, what did the Crusaders have? About 1200 knights was all---supported by poorly equipped, ragged band of 11,000 soldiers, sailors, and workmen. Altogether, the Crusaders had less than 13,000 men against 60,000 armed enemies. Plus, the Crusaders were fighting in an unknown land and wre unaccustomed to the dersert heat, so different from their homeland of France. Yes, they were something to laugh at.
But the laughter stopped 5 days later when, to the surprise of the enemy, the Crusaders wheeled several HUGE wooden siege towers towards the walls of Jerusalem. the Crusaders had been constructing these monstrous structures in secret from the wood they had salvaged. Each tower was equipped with virtually everything a medieval army needed: a catapult, battering ram, drawbridge, and lofty turret from which the Crusaders could rain arrows down on the citys defenders. Whats more, inside each seige tower was a small army of Frankish Crusaders, eager to pour out the city once the walls had been breached.
Seeing the dreaded towers, the enemy defences began building up their defences on those parts of the wall opposite the towers. However, on the night before the Crusaders attacked, they silently dismantled some of the towers and moved them nearly a mile away to parts of Jerusalems walls that were less fortified. It was an unbelieveable undertaking under any conditions. but in their weakened condition, it was an almost superhuman accomplishment. When the morning light gently bathed the Jerusalem landscape on the morning of Thursday, July 14, thee nemy defenders were stunned in disbelief. they couldn't believe that some of the towers had been moved during the night.
More next week....
NEW BOOK>>>The kingdom that turned the world upside down"....
I pray you can find this book a touch to your life as well as your soul....
Part 1
The Kingdom with upside down values.
Holy War?
It was Firday, July 8, 1099. the hot desert sun bore down on a ragged procession of robed clergy, carrying large crosses and relics of saints, who were marching around outer walls of Jerusalem. The clergy were followed by 1200 emaciated barefoot Crusador knights and around 11,000 near starved, thirsty soldiers, sailors, and workmen. The other faction defenders of the city laughed scornfully at this procession, mocking them as they marched. The other faction even desecrated crosses in various ways and hung them on the city walls to further insult this ragtag band of half crazed Christians.
Despite insults and jeers, the Crusaders continued on their barefoot procession until they reached the Mount of Olives, where they stopped. There, one of the bishops exhorted them, saying, Now we are on the very spot from which the Lord made His ascension, and we can do nothing more to purify ourselves." So let each one of us forgive his brother whom he has injured, that the Lord may forgive us," He then reminded them of his prophecy that Jerusalem would be delivered to them the next Friday if they continued to humble and purify themselves.
If any of the other faction heard the Bishops speech, they were not particularly worried. Take the city of Jerusalem in 7 days? Not likely. After all, before the Crusaders had even reached the vicinity of Jerusalem, the other faction ruling Jerusalem, had plugged or poisoned all wells outside the city limits. The crusaders had only one intermittant spring for their source of water and many of the Crusaders were seriously dehydrated. Furthermore, the leader of the other faction had moved all domesic animals inside the walls, giving the city an abundant supply of food. In contrast, the Crusaders were emaciated from hunger. Jerusalem could withstand a long siege, In fact, to conserve their food supply and protect themselves against treachery, the leader of the other faction had expelled all Christians from the city. Most of the Jews had left.
Stay with me, it gets even better....
Until next week,
NEW BOOK .....
We are going to start a new book to follow, It is called"The kingdom that turned the world upside down"....I have been reading it and WOW!!! I pray it touches your heart/soul as it has mine....
We will do both books today.... First the old one...
"Created to be his helpmeet"....
A matter of physics....
God made man to need intimacy. He must be relieved of his built-up sexual desire, even if it means spilling his seed in his sleep. 1 Corinthians 11:9 states, "Neither the man created for the woman; but, the woman created for the man." Men are all somehwat different in these needs. If they are sick, tired, stressed, scared, feel; rejected, or are even distracted by a big project, their sexual need may be diminished or even put on hold for a week or two. Healthy food makes a positive difference. vitamins, herbs, and exercise all play a vital part. Men have enhanced sexual desire after excitement or physicl exercise. If he is keyed up with success, he may have a stronger drive than usual. Even the weather effects a mans drives.
A man is negatively affected by a half-hearted response from his wife. The poor guy is never fully relieved and therefore never feels totally satisfied, making him think he is a sexual pervert or something, because he needs sex sooo often. It is like eating a tiny snack, a little bit here and there, yet never sitting down to eat a big juicy steak and salad.
A good wife knows that the greater her response, the more pleasureable her mans orgasm can be, and the more complete and longlasting will be his satisfaction.
I typed this in big enough letters for us wives that think we have a sexual pervert(always needing it), will take this to heart, WIFE.... is this you, not really fulfilling your husbands desires, just "putting out" for him to leave you alone?.....Lets go on....
When you respond half heartedly, it says to him,
You only have half of my heart." A half-hearted response from a wife can turn a sweet, teddy-bear of a man into a mean, old dog. It can make a man who is high-strung, morph into
an emotional jerk at work, home and even at church.
God created man with a regular need for a woman, and God commanded the mans wife to see to it that his need is met. Do yourself and everyone else around you a favor, devote at least 15 minutes every few days to please your man.
For a wife to defraud her man of this need that God has instilled in him should cause her to tremble in fear of the consequences, and remember, his entier ego is tied up with his sexual experience. To him it is the ultimate expression of his deepest love for you...(even though it might not matter to you)....the fullest measure of intimacy with you he can imagine. His entire body, soul, and spirit are caught up into earths "heavenlies" in this one act of sharing that love with you, the very measure of his person.
Till next week...
Blaspheming the written Word of God....
Dear Mr Pearl;
I have a question. Would it be sin to castrate myself? I am a husband and father, and I just cannot satisfy myself with my wife because she does not want to be intimate very often. The bible says, "whosever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed aadultery with her already in his heart." Would it not be better in my case to be castrated? I talked with my wife and she does not care. I am tired of sinning.
Mr Miller
This is a real letter from a real man named Mr. Miller. We were shocked! What do we tell this man who is willing to lose his manhood to avoid the lust caused by his indifferent wife? The gravity of his wifes sin is staggering. She has NO FEAR of God Almighty. She has blasphemed the word of God with her selfishness, thinking only of her own needs and not loving her husband. Never, Never, never be guilty of such a grave sin. This husband needs to know that God says. "The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband....Defraud ye not one the other...that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency"(1 Corinthians 7:4-5). God grants the marriage partner full access to his spouses body for sexual gratification. And remember, indifference is unwillingness.
Ladies, ARE YOU INDIFFERENT ? Lets fall on our faces before God and repent...we dont need this added to our other sins......Love your husbands....
His arms are my arms....
Dear ?.....
I have not felt close to God for a long time. Something was missing I found myself empty and lonely. I really had no idea what was wrong. I was aimless as a mother, and my discipline of my children was inconsitent and fraught with anger. My household management was wanting. In the past, my husband and I have had a good relationship, but even that was limp. I often cry myself to sleep, not knowing what was wrong.
My husband had been attempting to get intimate with me during "that time of the month" at which I usually pushed him away, He knew it was "that time", but assured me, he only wanted to give me pleasure...
I guess I must think in boxes; it is either all or nothing for me. And so, when I did not think it was all a good time, then it was nothing. Last night, after I resisted my husband yet again(argh!), my heart cried out to God, and I began to cry and cry and pray. Eventually the sobbing subsided, and I calmed down(my DH had sleepily held onto me and let me cry it out). It was then I felt like God said in that still small voice, "Those arms that hold you are my arms", I felt the warmth and strength of my husbands arms about me. I realized by pushing my husband away, I am pushing God away. NO WONDER I was sooo very lonely!!! I have been pushing the Lord away all this time and refusing to receive guidence and comfort here on earth ,from my Saviour...
How eagerly I went to myhusband and how eager I will always reamain! Life is an education. Boxes, boundaries, self imposed rules, they are all the same ink.
Today was like a new day! My children, my house, my chores, I saw everything with different eyes, THANKFUL eyes, a grateful heart and a soul full of joy and love....
"A wise woman guages her husbands needs. She seeks to fulfill his desire before even he is aware fo them. She never leaves him daydreaming outside of home. She supplies his desire."
Ladies, as the time draws close to Our Heavenly Saviour coming, the enemy of our souls will pour it on even more...WE NEEDS to fall on our faces before our Father and ask for guidence, Help, truth, and our hearts to be changed....not to stay in the same mold, as we always have...
Pray, as we never have before...for us to HEAR His still small voice, to determine, in our hearts to do the will of the Father..not our own wills....hard?, you think, yes, it is, but, the joys that will flood or souls when we do....
DH's experience while dead.....
Hello friends in christ...
It's been wayyyy tooooo long since I have been on this here computer....LOL!
Tis time to start posting again...I have been trying to lassso my DH and get him to tell me His story the way he wants me to. but, that seems asaolutely unprofitable, so, I will pass it along as He told me, on day 2 after his emergency quadruple bypasss surgery.
Our day started out like any other, said our goodbyees, hugged/kissed and he left. He usually calls me on his way to work, and tells me what he sees along the way, he did and we said goodbye again.
He got to work, and he called me to say he might be home early, ok. Then on the way to his next job(he checks densities for a business on dirt/concrete),He called and told me that he just wanted to tell me again, how much He loved me, and that He might be home early(this was at 2:00pm), and I went back to canning tomatoes. At 2:25pm, the police department called me and said that my DH had been in an accident and I was to get to the Hospital stat! I was still holding the phone, when a friend of ours, who is a Police officer, opened the door and (I was still holding the receiver in my hand, stunned),I asked him what I was suppose to do, He then said to put the receiver down, get my purse and coat and we needed to get to the Hospital. I was still in shock!!!~~~@@###@!!~?>"{{}_+)*&.....................
I did, when we got to the Hospital, 7 minutes away, I went straight in, and there lay my husband, GRAY skinned, and stunned, He did not know me at fist, His boss had beat me there and he told me, he knew him, sos, he went in with me, and told DH that I was his wife, then it came back......He looked as if he died and came back, GRAY skin, glassy eyes, and cold,cold, fingers......
He then asked what happened, at this point, I didnt even know what had happened, I went to ask, and was told by the Doctor, that he had died and had a heart attack, then kept going with CPR, then brought back with defilibration...He kept saying, "Where did they find me...Honey, where am I?" He didnt remember anything......
We were there for 2 hours getting him stabilized, then off the the bigger Hospital we went, I did not see him for 3 hours, our 2 sons were here and they took off with(not in) the Ambulance, so they were there with him, although he did 'nt even know them....
The next 2 days, were my/your worst nightmare, he underwent emergency 4 way bypass surgery, then had E-coli/Pheumonia/Staph infection in his left lung, and was VERY; VERY, sick...the Doctors kept telling me how sick He was, but, not tellimg me all this was going on....
On day, 3,.....He said one morning, Hon, I remember what happened....He told me about how he died and saw Jesus...He said, at the time he died(He only knows what happened before, because a friend was following him and saw him slump over in his pickup)...he was standing there, really in nowhere, and there was NO PAIN, NO GUUILT; NO anything, but COMPLETE PEACE,,,an overwhelming PEACE...a PEACE that he said he had never EXPERIENCED AND PROBABLY WILL again till he gets to Heaven....
He then thought "I dont want to go back", its to Peaceful"...
Every question that he thought was getting answered, soo fast, he just had to think it.....
Then He saw Jesus' arms/hands and His GLOWING robe come out of nowhere...DH says, He felt soo much Peace that he was wondering what was in his hands...
It looked like two loaves of French Bread, with the ends cut off, that Jesus was holding, and Jesus placed these on his body as He was laying there and said....................
"This is the gift of life, and with it there will be a requirement"...and was gone!
My DH then remembers, hearing from the paramedics>>"Can you hear us, Can you hear us"? He said yes, and on to the Hospital they went....
There was one thing that Jesus told my DH to <<<<<<>>>>>>>>
"I AM COMING SOON, AND TO GET TO KNOW HIM..."
Ladies...Do you really know Him??????
Is your heart changed into His image...PLEASE read the Scripture about what will and wont enter Heaven......this is not some made up story, We are just ordinary People with troubles and sin just like you, But, DO YOU REALLY KNOW HIM?????
Dh wants me to pass on the unending PEACE he felt, where He was, and the PEACE He felt through Jesus simple words......
Fall on your face today, and don't waste another minute staying where you are in your heart....time is coming to an end, and then what?
Christlikeness?
The life I live should reveal what I believe; whether the "world" or "Christ".
Are you a nominal Christian(conformed to the world, and not Christ)? How do you make a difference in the false values and beliefs around you? When a Christian responds/acts like those looking on, they see no difference, "Why should they change?, but, if they see a difference n your demanor....they can't help but want what you have. Afterall....Christlikeness is all that really matters, not?
More on the tract "Love"...
The difficult things that life brings us are not an indication that God does not love us. God at times allows us to experience difficulty for our own good. A parent with true love does not always give a child wht he wants, but rather restrains him for the childs benefit.
Love is self-sacrificing, true love seeks the good of others. Love is warm, sympathetic, kind. If we really love, we will care for the present and future well being of those near to us. A loving husband and father will display his affection for his wife and children. He will gladly give and sacrifice of himself to provide an atmosphere of love and well being.
A wife and mother who truly loves,her husband will respect her husband and will instill in her children a sense of respect and love for their parents and for each other. She will gladly provide a haven of security and tranquility for all in the family.
Christ exemplified love by his undeserved death on the cross of Calvery.
ME?
Can others see Jesus when they look at me?
Lets ask ourselves that question....even though we have sins and they be many...
are we thoughtful, forgiving, dependable, truthful, not like the rest of the world, trustworthy, do we have the fruits of the spirit?
How is your week?
Hello Dear Freiends...
How is your week? Are you still trying to follow Gods plan for your marriage, or have you let the enemy of our souls win? Please don't give up, sometimes we just need to press in, keep on...and hang in there...then, God will move in our hearts or ?......
My marriage is not without it's trials, but, there is no comparison with what it use to be....I do have a glorious marriage, a DH that treats me just like I am his princess, because in my heart and actions he is my Prince Charming.................Yes, he has faults, yes I have faults, but, I CHOOSE to not dwell on them, I CHOOSE to let it roll off my back, like a duck does water(sometimes it takes prayer, on my knees and a lot of forgiveness)....but...it does happen..I am Free to love!
Don't give up....
Annie Johnson Flint's Story, The Story of Annie Johnson Flint: "Annie's Story
By Rowland V. Bingham
EARLY LIFE
Annie was born on Christmas Eve, in the year 1866, in the little town of Vineland, New Jersey. Eldon and Jean Johnson, the father and mother, welcomed that Christmas present as the greatest earthly gift. The father was of English descent, and the mother was Scottish.
The only remembrance of her mother dates back to the time just before her mother's death in 1869 (at the age of twenty-three) following the birth of a baby sister for Annie. She must have looked with wonder from that baby face into the mother's face that day, for it was the only imprint of that mother's likeness that lived in her memory. The baby was left for life-long companionship. The father took the children to board with the widow of an old army comrade who had been killed in the Civil War. It was not a happy arrangement. The woman had two children of her own and her means were very limited. During the two years the Johnson girls added to the cares of that family, they were evidently unwelcome and unwanted.
But it was at this time when the outlook seemed so dark for their young lives, that a neighbor interposed in a kindly way. She loomed in the memory as Aunt Susie, although she could claim no blood relation to this friend. Aunt Susie was a school teacher, and boarded near the school in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Flint. She became so strongly attached to the Johnson girls that she was continually speaking of them to the Flints, and at last so aroused their sympathy on behalf of the motherless children, that a little over two years after their mother's death they were adopted by the Flints, whose name thereafter they bore. While their name"
