Continuation on "The Kingdom that turned the world upside down"....

One needs to read the post from last week, on this new book, and one will understand what this post is about...
   So the wicked leader and his soldiers lost little sleep over the Crusders. they knew they had plenty of water, and abundance of food, better arms, and the seemningly impregnable city walls to protect them. And they had 60,000 armed soldiers to defend those walls!  Whats more, a relief source of Egyptian Soldiers was on its way to life the siege. And against all of this, what did the Crusaders have?  About 1200 knights  was all---supported by poorly equipped, ragged band of 11,000 soldiers, sailors, and workmen. Altogether, the Crusaders had less than 13,000 men against 60,000 armed enemies. Plus, the Crusaders were fighting in an unknown land and wre unaccustomed to the dersert heat, so different from their homeland of France. Yes, they were something to laugh at.
   But the laughter stopped 5 days later when, to the surprise of the enemy, the Crusaders wheeled several HUGE wooden siege towers towards the walls of Jerusalem. the Crusaders had been constructing these monstrous structures in secret from the wood they had salvaged. Each tower was equipped with virtually everything a medieval army needed: a catapult, battering ram, drawbridge, and lofty turret from which the Crusaders could rain arrows down on the citys defenders. Whats more, inside each seige tower was a small army of Frankish Crusaders, eager to pour out the city once the walls had been breached.
   Seeing the dreaded towers, the enemy defences began building up their defences on those parts of the wall opposite the towers. However, on the night before the Crusaders attacked, they silently dismantled some of the towers and moved them nearly a mile away to parts of Jerusalems walls that were less fortified. It was an unbelieveable undertaking under any conditions. but in their weakened condition, it was an almost superhuman accomplishment. When the morning light gently bathed the Jerusalem landscape on the morning of Thursday, July 14, thee nemy defenders were stunned in disbelief. they couldn't believe that some of the towers had been moved during the night.

Hormones 101

   We ladies all have basically the same hormones. Over the last 50 plus years, my hormones have fluctuated some, but I have still been fully a female during all that time. Amazing, isnt it? Through adolescence, marriage, pregnancies, births, periods, menopause you  name it, our hormones were always there, maintaining us as a female. For the most part, all ladies have the same intimate drive.
   Do you love your husband the way he needs loving, the way you were created to love him? If you dont score high points here, you are providing an opening for your husband to be tempted by other women. It is a mans duty to walk in truth and have high integrity, but a woman, who trusts in a mans ability to endure all things, while providing circumstances that test him to the max, is a fool. It is your duty to fulfill his intimate needs. God knew that the pleasurable memories "planted" lovingly by you would serve to keep you sweetly and tenderly in his thoughts and his dreams(SOOOO TRUE!!!). His faithful responsibility to you, and yours to him are both equally important, and we wives must give an account before God for our faithfulness in these areas. I call it"ministering" to my husband and he says I am a MIGHTY fine minister(giggle).
 For a woman, intimate expression starts in her mind and heart. Love is giving up your center, your self interest. It is choosing anothers needs above your own. A woman chooses to be interested or not interested in her  husbands needs. So, when a womans first commitment is to her own needs and feelings, she is  going to view intimacy strictly as carnal....for then she does have a total hedonistic outlook.---her self gratification. But if a woman views intimacy as a ministry to her husband, then it is a selfless act of benevolence. She need not wait until she is stimulated to desire eroticism, she need only seek to fulfill her husbands needs. I have a tip for you.....when you make your husbands needs central , you will get turned on to the experience and enjoy it yourself. That is the way God meant it to be. The principle is universal---we minister to others because we want to bless them. It is completely incidental that the by-product of selflessly blessing others should result in our being blessed also, Eve was created to be Adams helper. It is not in seeking personal fulfillment that she is fulfilled, rather, it is in doing her duty to bless him, that a blessing is returned upn her.

Your God ordained place....

   A letter was written to me about a "switch" being turned off after birthing the children...Has your "switch" turned off to your DH, because ???????? Consequently,has  His(DH) "switch" turned off also, you live married and still do everything married couples do except, for sexual relations....How can this be? Obviously, the marriage was not as good as one thinks or one would not be concerned and writing as one did....
 "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render(give) unto the wife due benevelence(sexual gratification for her): and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband:and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and pryer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency"(I cor. 7:2-5).
Hmmmm. pretty strong words...Lets go on....
   Dear Mrs.?(Could you put your name in here?)........
   You would not be writing unless you are both unhappy with your current realtionship. You know this should not be. When you married you sugned over to become a helper for his needs. Your lifes work is to help your husband. Marriage means becoming one flesh. It does not mean being best friends. In practice, you are not in a marriage relationship with your husband. You and your husband are effectively living in a seperate status..having put each other away .
   God commands, in I Cor. 7:5...."Defraud not one another, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan temp you not for your incontinency."
   God has already told us that not having regular intimacy is giving Satan an opportunity to tempt married couples. Wife, it is your God-ordained helper place to your husband to be his totally enthusiastic intimacy partner, ready to enjoy him at all times. To do less is a grave error. If you love your DH, as God commands, you will always seek to give him pleasure. In so doing, you will fulfill your role as his suitable helper.

Great sin....

Great sin..
Does any women really love her husband if she does not seek to pleae him in that area? If you are not interested in intimacy, then at least be interested in him enough to give him a intimacy that he wont soon forget.---"...to LOVE their husbands...". the bible says, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin"(James 4:17) Hopefully, you just didnt realize that your lack of imtimate interest in your husband can be sin.

Frame of reference....

Frame of reference....
Part 11
   When a woman is not interested in his most consuming passion, he feels that she is not interested in him. when a woman just "allows, cooperates, and tolerates," it leaves a man feeling sick at heart. If, to a man, intimacy was just copulation, he would make his deposit and be satisfied, but to him it is intimacy, a merging of spirits, a way of saying "I love you..I need you ...I like you" A mans most basic needs are warm intimacy, approval and admiration. For his wife to be willing but indifferent, speaks of neither sex nor love.
    A woman is a fool to believe her own excuses or to think she can convince  him that what she says  is the truth. Her half hearted commitment makes him feel incomplete and unloved. By not obeying God in this area of intimacy and love, a woman is putting a tererible curse on her husband. When a woman forces a man into that position, it is the equivalent of a man saying to his wife, "You are stupid, ugly, lousy wife, but I will still be a good husband and kiss you today.." A mans wife has more influence on his frame of reference than any other thing or person in life.
   Man is driven to succeed. Hormones drive him to be the best at work, to drive aggresiively, to build the best building, or write the  finest material piece.ressing drive is to be a successful lover.
Making his wife feel glorious when he touches her is the ultimate test of his manhood---the very measure of the man.
   He cannot view life differentlt; that is the way God made him. He needs a wife, a help meet,
a helper who will meet the need God put in him.
   If a wife does not meet his intimacy and sexual needs, she is a help-not-meet, a helper NOT suitalbe to the task for which God created her.

Christlikeness?

The life I live should reveal what I believe; whether the "world" or "Christ".

Are you a nominal Christian(conformed to the world, and not Christ)? How do you make a difference in the false values and beliefs around you? When a Christian responds/acts like those looking on, they see no difference, "Why should they change?, but, if they see a difference n your demanor....they can't help but want what you have. Afterall....Christlikeness is all that really matters, not?

Frame of reference....

Frame of reference...
A mans concept of marriage is different from a womans. Especially after he has gone without intimacy for a few days. This book is not a "how to" for a man. I will skip his part and deal with the ladies part. God describes marriage as"they two shall be one flesh", which is, their bodies coming together.
   Many men feel that marriage is not quite what they thought it was going to be. Some men spend their youth dreaming about the wild passion they are going to experience with the one woman they love more than life. It is their expression of the oneness they will have with her alone and her alone. This is truly Gods design for a man in the department of love .
   The man remembers the passinate looks his sweetheart gave him before marriage. He had  naturally assumed that she would always think of him in that all-consuming loving way.
   When they were courting, that is the way she made him feel. He saw it refelcted in her face. All he wanted was to satisfy that hungry anumal he thought she was, and, for a while, she was all he had hoped for; but then
it faded away. She wasnt interested anymore. Her disinterest in him intimately is a reflection of her heart, and he knows it. Ther are a multitude of excuses women use to explain why they would "rather not" or why they "cannot respond" this way. I think  her husband knows in his spirit that all her excuses are just that:excuses for not wanting him.

My computer is acting up again, I can only write a few lines then it shuts off.

More on the tract "Love"...

The difficult things that  life brings us are not an indication that God does not love us. God at times allows us to experience difficulty for our own good. A parent with true love does not always give a child wht he wants, but rather restrains him for the childs benefit.
Love is self-sacrificing, true love seeks the good of others. Love is warm, sympathetic, kind. If we really love, we will care for the present and future well being of those near to us. A loving husband and father will display his affection for his wife and children. He will gladly give and sacrifice of himself to provide an atmosphere of love and well being.
  A wife and mother who truly loves,her husband will respect her husband and will instill in her children a sense of respect and love for their parents and for each other. She will gladly provide a haven of security and tranquility for all in the family.
Christ exemplified love by his undeserved death on the cross of Calvery.

Love....

Love,  is an essential need in the world today.
Love....a beautiful word in any language. What does it bring to mind: affection, care, warmth, kindness, kindness, security, mother? But think for yourself, what does this beautiful word really mean? Do you want to be loved?
  God is love and His love abiding in your heart can help you love and be loved. The source of all love is God. 1 John 4:16  reads: "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love: and he  that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."  No one will ever be truly successful in finding or experiencing love unless he seeks it in and through God.
  Some of the opposites of love are: hatred, mistrust, selfishness, and war. We need only look at many of the conditions prevailing in our world today and in many families to understand that there is a desperate need for love.
How about you? Do you feel you are loved? Do you feel an ache in your heart, a lonliness that will not go away because you feel no affection, no warmth?  Do you at times feel that noone cares?  Have you grown up with parents who did not really love each other or their children? These feelings are common in todays world where the prevailing attitude seems to be "me first".  An aching heart is the result of an individuals indulging in his own selfish interests.
   Love is not a sensual attraction that seeks to gratify its own passion, often at the expense of the other person. This attraction, which some may call love, is selfishness because it seeks its own enjoyment Love does not promote ones own honor or pleasure.

Chapter16...To Love their Husbands.

Titus 2:4 "That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands...
Please remember that loving him means putting his needs before your own, which may or may not be easy for most of us.  We were and are created to be helpmeets. Everyday and everynight we need to be ready to help. Here is a story from a letter that was received...
A normal Guy....
 I am in a dilemma and need you to share with my wife that I am "normal". My wife thinks I am a pervert because I need to be intimate. She feels I am not sensitive to her needs when I want to be intimate with her  and she doesn't, which is most of the time. She will be intimate with me, but it hurts her feelings that I do not consider her feelings and she feels I do not love hr enough to consider this. When I have missed a meal I unconsciously roam the kitchen, opening cabinet doors, and peer into the referigerator,just looking and looking. I told her that a few days without intimacy leaves me in the same condition imtimately. No matter how much I love her and respect her feelings and needs, I still have this overwhelming intimatecy need that drives me until it is satisfied.
There are very few times when everything is just right for her. She is exhausted, or has a backache or  whatever she comes up with most of the time. I tried to explain to her that she is setting me up for temptation, and that really set her off. Now I am not only a pervert, I am also unfaithful in my heart, so she is upset every time a good looking girl walks by.
 Please tell her I just down right NEED MY woman. Thats the bottom line; I am normal--all men need a woman. She said I made it until I was 23 without intimacy, so why do I have to have it now. I told her when I was single I did not have to look upon someone undressing in front of me, nor did I see anyone laying in the bed like that.  I just want to come home and be a family man, I want to crawl into bed at night with a woman who is glad I am her man.I want to be intimate with her every few days sos I dont have to think about the girls at work. Please write her and explain this to her. Maybe if she heard this from you she would know I have
and REALLY care about her...

LADIES... How many of you hear this from your man?
If you do, and your not being  responsible with your "intimacy" with him, your only asking for trouble. This is the basics of men, (not al), this is the way they were created...Once we understand this principle, and truly "reverence" him, we will WANT to take care of his needs.

"For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, , and the 2 shall reat become one flesh. This a is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the Church"(Eph. 5:31-32).

>Gods ultimate goal for you is to meet your mans needs.
>Gods oroginal intention was that a woman would spend her life helping her man fulfill his dreams and ambitions.
>From the beginning, God meant for us to be a comfort, a blessing, a reward, a friend, a encouragement, and a right-hand woman.

"What can I do to help you Adam,?"
"Pick up the other end of that log, and help me move it over here."
"What should my next project be, Adam?"
"Have dinner ready every evening, and take good care of my little ones."
"That is a very strong fence you are building, and the gate looks nice, I am soo proud of you, Adam. What would you like now?"
"Take your clothing and put it elsewhere, but, not on you....YEAH!!! your a fine helpmeet!!!."

LADIES...Our society has perverted what God has made to be beautiful....don't let the evil one rob you and your man of what, the God you say you know and serve, has ordained in marriage. Go to your knees and ask for spiritual intervention, so you can too, can have that blessed marriage, we as women all want.

Chapter 2...To love their husbands....Titus 2:4

"That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands..."
This is a big commission to all of us who are married.
Loving him means putting His needs before your own. We were and are created to be help meets. Everyday and every night we need to be ready to minister to His needs.
Lets ponder this verse for the next few days, and I will
be back to share more on this verse......

Accepting what God hands our way...

Ladies...Has anyone  ever wondered why God allows/brings certain things in our lives...
I am wondering about your wonderments...What has God brought to you that you deem "This cannot be from God"...A certain friend, that "reproves" you, a spouse that doesn't agree with you, a song that shows you your weaknesses, a spouse "to be" that perhaps doesn't have "enough" for you to marry him....a piece of clothing that just doesn't "sit" well in you spirit,...the list could go on and on...
Think about it, why do we say it isn't from God,,,because it does not fit in with what we want, or think or feel..
Lets be REAL careful about "throwing the baby out with the bathwater"(so to speak), when we discount something God brings our way.....

Just my thoughts...

The meaning of quiet...

Quiet...Are we?
mild, free from turbulance, immovable(in the things of the truth of God), steadfast, settled, not easily provoked.
Ask ourselves this wuestion, Am I?

ME?

Can others see Jesus when they look at me?
Lets ask ourselves that question....even though we have sins and they be many...
are we thoughtful, forgiving, dependable, truthful, not like the rest of the world, trustworthy, do we have the fruits of the spirit?

Reflections on the Chapter.....

Reflection on Sober...
Traits of a Good Help meet..
~~~A good help meet establishes a haven of rest.
~~She will adjust to her husbands time schedule and eating habits.
~~She will realx and enjoy her family, instead of worrying and fretting.
Words God uses to describe a godless woman...
Locate the verses in a concordance, and write them down. Ask God to cause you to HATE any sign of these things in your life. Believe and know that God will set you free.
*Foolish                                        *Brawling                                  *Withut Discretion
*Clamorous                                   *Contentious                             *Wanders from house tohouse
*Simple                                         *Angry                                        *Stubborn
*Knoweth nothing                        *Tattler                                     *Loud
*Like a swine(fat pig)                   *Busybodies
  with a gold nose jewel
Getting serious with God....
Think of an occasion in the recent past when you became angry or were hurt because your DH responded in a way that you felt was wrong.  Keep in mind that the other side of the coin of being angry is being hurt. It is one and the same coin,  and it buys the same results: a bad marriage and a strained relationship. How different do you think the end of the struggle might have been if you had kept in your mind that your job was to please your man? Write your own story. First, write the one that ended in a big fight, and next, write the story as it should have ended. Remember, he doesn't have to be right or kind for you to react in a godly way. this excercise will help you see the rationale for honoring your husband in a different light.
"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus"(PHIL> 2:5).
Personal shrines....
Many women lack biblical soberness, as seen in the way they treat their houses as shrines to be protected, rather than as spaces inwhich to enjoy their families. They get emotionally upset if the carpet gets messed up or if the children accidentally spill milk on the couch. They become emotional wrecks over their physical surroundings. If you have that problem, let me ask why, how you would feel if your husband provided nothing more than an open barn in which to deliver your first baby? That was the case with Mary, the mother of Jesus. Do you think God could have used Mary to be the mother of Jesus if she had allowed herself to become an emotional wreck when her enviroment was not clean and orderly? Think of the teenage girl, Mary, clinging to the back of a bouncing donkey, contractions pulling at her exhausted body, while her desperate husband searched for a place for her to have her child.
   Many have speculated as to what virtues Mary had that prompted God to choose her to be the mother of our Lord. I can tell you what she was like. She had eternity in her heart. She was self possessed, thoughtful, and was always learning to make wise judgements. When a young woman learns to be sober, she will not live for immediate gratifiction. She will appreciate those things that will last for eternity.
