Great sin....

Great sin..
Does any women really love her husband if she does not seek to pleae him in that area? If you are not interested in intimacy, then at least be interested in him enough to give him a intimacy that he wont soon forget.---"...to LOVE their husbands...". the bible says, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin"(James 4:17) Hopefully, you just didnt realize that your lack of imtimate interest in your husband can be sin.

More later,,,

Frame of reference....

Frame of reference...
A mans concept of marriage is different from a womans. Especially after he has gone without intimacy for a few days. This book is not a "how to" for a man. I will skip his part and deal with the ladies part. God describes marriage as"they two shall be one flesh", which is, their bodies coming together.
Many men feel that marriage is not quite what they thought it was going to be. Some men spend their youth dreaming about the wild passion they are going to experience with the one woman they love more than life. It is their expression of the oneness they will have with her alone and her alone. This is truly Gods design for a man in the department of love .
The man remembers the passinate looks his sweetheart gave him before marriage. He had  naturally assumed that she would always think of him in that all-consuming loving way.
When they were courting, that is the way she made him feel. He saw it refelcted in her face. All he wanted was to satisfy that hungry anumal he thought she was, and, for a while, she was all he had hoped for; but then
it faded away. She wasnt interested anymore. Her disinterest in him intimately is a reflection of her heart, and he knows it. Ther are a multitude of excuses women use to explain why they would "rather not" or why they "cannot respond" this way. I think  her husband knows in his spirit that all her excuses are just that:excuses for not wanting him.

My computer is acting up again, I can only write a few lines then it shuts off.

I'm about to have a nervous breakdown....

This letter shows how not gttring our way often causes us to have a nervous, troubled spirit instead of the quiet(sober) spirit God expects us to have. It was good to hear that this lady finally found peace. the article she refers to can be found on the nogreaterjoy.org website.
I heard your article read publicly called "Carnal husbands, cranky wives and cantankerous kids", while at a seminar in Knoxville. It was the first time I realized my anxiety controlled my husband and was a reflection of my lack of confidence in him. As we left the seminar and were fighting traffic, my husband spoke up that we needed to stop for gas. Miles passed and still the traffic was bumper to bumper. Suddenly we were free and in the mountains with no place to buy gas. I was in an extreme state of turmoil. I had worked myself up to a state that I wanted to scream to him to go back in to the city and get gas. I could see the gas gauge; it was . totally empty. I kept quietly raging to God that "this was the exact reason why I had to take control, since he is  the most irresponsible man and does not make wise decisions. I felt that I should tell him what to do. "I was so nervous, I was almost sick, but, for the first time I kept my mouth shut and looked interestedly at the hills. Ten miles up into the mountains, we finally came to an exit that had a gas station, and my husband turned to me, smiled and said, "Whats happened to you? Your not a nervous wreck like you usually are. I'm so glad youve learned to relax. Isn't life a lot more fun when your not so full of fear? I'm proud of you."
I had to stop and think Even if we had tun out of gas, would it have been a tragedy? I could see that I had turned many things into monsters. I had the opposite of a meek and quiet spirit that we were suppose to have. I have learned not to let my fears and irritations over uncertain circumstances control me, and , much  worse, my husband. I am learning to lean on my husband.

Reflecting on.....

Today we focus on "Reflecting" on what we have read for the past weeks....a few questions and thoughts..
1. Was it pleasing to the Lord for the lady who cooked her husband supper according to his likes?

2. Would it have been sin to respond with anger or hurt feelings?
3. Would you have sought to please your husband if he had shown such insensitive ingratitide?
4. Do you think her husband was just trying to be cruel?
5. When you first married, did you think of your marriage as a career of pleasing your DH
?

A virtuous woman is a crown to her DH: but she that maketh ashamed is as rotteness in his bones"(Proverbs 12:4).

Make a new habit.
Most wives reading this book were trained not to honor their DH's. You were most likely trained by a mother's example to disrespect and resent your dad. You were trained by watching your mother showing displeasure at your dads bad habits, and nothing has changed in the way you relate to your DH. It seems natural to be angry rather than to seek change for the better. It is not easy to break a well-established tradition, but it will certainly be worth the effort.
Liberated to sorrow
Beginning with the womans "liberation" mocement of the 1960's, women have been taught and expected to resent men in authority. All media, magazines, movies, and popular books have promoted eradication of the distinction between male and female. the established churches are only about on e decade behind the, world, so Christian books and Ministers have followed with their own female liberation theology. Ministers and theologians have devised ways of dismissing the authority of the words of God found that speak about the nature and duty of men and women. It has gone so far that the churches are now convinced that the Bible supports this modern view.

When I was a child, no one in our large, extended family could ever remember a divorce on either side of the family, including the many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Neither was there a case of abuse or child abuse. In the last 50 years, all that has dramatically changed.
It is hard to believe, but the following assignment was found in a 1950's public high school home economics notebook. When I was in school, this is what the general public was being taught!!! Can yo imagine what an outcry it would cause if someone put this in a public school textbook today????

I guess we will wait till next posting to find our what it is......

To Be Sober.....Titus 2:4.."That they may teach the young women to be sober...."

To Be Sober.....
Titus 2:4...."That they may teach the young women to be sober..."
To be sober: To do ones duty, be moderate, self-controlled, thoughtful, and to learn to make wise decisions and judgements.
"And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure"(Isa. 33:6).

Common sense
A Sober wife is one who faces the fact that she is no longer a freewheeling individual, with time to do as she pleases. She knows that marriage is a joyous, but also a grave responsibility. She cannot be flighty and frivolous. She makes a commitment to be the best wife, mother, and manager of the home that anyone could be. She becomes the acting CEO of a great enterprise of which her husband is owner.
Her most basic responsibility is to make her husbands home run smoothly. She assumes the role of coordinator of all affairs. If the home doesn't run in an orderly manner, the marriage will not be joyous and fulfilling, and neither will child training.
When a woman soberly considers the needs, time schedule, and resources of her home, then she will be a more efficient help meet. This planning will eliminate tension and help set a peaceful mood. It is the simple things in life that can break down a marriage and bring about a bitter divorce. But on the positive side, it is the simple planning of lifes activities that can bring health, prosperity, peace, and happiness to a sound marriage and produce gratifying family relationships. Men(and children) appreciate good meals, a clean house, and an atmosphere of peace---a refuge from the stress of life.
Has your DH ever come home from work, and you had just had the WORST day in history with your children, they are sick, you just had a baby or you are sick and so is the newest addition to your little family....and all he does is ask..."Why supper is not ready?"..."Why is the house such a mess?"..and so..on....and on, and on......
Ladies, Even though all of this has happened, you are still responsible for what goes through your head, and what comes out of your moth, and also, what comes out of your attitude....
Noone can dispute, that your DH has just been insensitive, but, 2 wrongs don't make a good marriage. One "right" can make a BIG difference, in a marriage and change that selfish old guy. Always keep in mind that your job is to do a good job serving him, so planning ahead is a must... If you do a better job at your job,(serving him), then your DH wont be so insensitive.... Your DH expects you to plan ahead. He plans ahead at his place of work, otherwise he would lose his job. If you plan ahead, conflicts like this can be avoided, and your DH will be proud to know he has a better wife than the other guys at work. If you pamper your DH, in time he will become more sensitive to your burden, but you must be a soldier and show yourself strong.
My babies were sick to, plus I worked full time, and to keep everything running smoothly, was sometimes more than I could handle. As mothers, we will often be stressed over a sick child, but that is no reason to neglect our other duties. A sober wife, makes herself the match of every circumstance.

Spiritual Armour....

~~~~My DH thought I should post this this morning, so here it is....
~~~~Spiritual Armour
The kingdom of the world is based on untruth. It offers pleasures and happiness, but these lead to wretchedness and poverty of soul and often also of the body.
The kingdom of God is truth. Our spirits should be girded on all sides with this integral part of Gods armour. Truth will identify the sin which has come upon all men, and truth will bring men under conviction. All are lost without the Saviours intercession. Faith leads us to repentance and to the blood of Christ for the remission of sin. "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ"(1 Cor. 3:11).
The breastplate of righteousness keeps the heart clean and pure. It protects against grace-robbing vices. It enables us to be Christian in deed and not only in name.
A departed church father taught that we are not just saved to be good, but we are saved to be good for something. Having our feet shod with the gospel of peace will radically alter how and where we walk. The doctrines of returning good deeds for evil and going to all the world with the message of salvation will be born within us. Love for the souls of men, willingness for a life of sacrifice, and grace to extend forgiveness to those who despitefully use us will be manifested in our lives.
The helmet of salvation guards the mind. Most sins are preceeded by impure thoughts and selfserving. Evil surmisings and imaginations break down confidence and foster ill will. The Bible instructs us to go alone to our brother with our concerns. This often results in a warm melting together of hearts. Too often this is neglected, and gossip and backbiting result.
Strong holds can be besetting sins of long standing or grave sins that seem to have one hopelessly ensnared. The sword of the Spirit is mighty, working miracles of deliverance when one becomes willing to use it. this sword will cut to the very core of our attitudes and motives in searching out and pulling down strongholds of sin. It enables us to become jyful, new creatures inChrist.
Bible reading, prayer, and spiritual meditation will establish the Word inour hearts. this will provide a strong defense against evil.

Kings and Kingdoms, cont'd.....

Good Morning Ladies, My garden takes more time than one thinks....mowing lawn, having Grandsweeties, and other such, time flies, so here is just a bit for this week,.........

Women feel that they will lose some of their self-respect if they surrender to a man who is less than wonderful. Surrendering your autonomy to another is not for wimps. People say of an obedient women, "Oh, she is just the meek and timid type; she needs to get a life of her own." They know not whereof they speak. This is not a abstract, puzzling doctrine; it's practical and pragmatic. The more I show my husband reverence, the more he treasures me and treats me like his queen. God made a man so that our deference and respect feed his tendency to show tenderness and to be protective of us.
Ladies, this really is true, I have found it in my own life and marriage. My DH loves to "protect " me, but, I have to choose to allow him to do that, by..... reverencing, not only with respect, but, reverence, and being humble enough, that when I blow it, to say, "I am sorry". Not flippantly, but, from the bottom of my heart, and with that making a change. Sounds like a big charge, not?, but, it is possible. I never thought I could have a glorious marriage.... but,,,.....Thanks be to Jesus, it has happened.
First, a heart that is truly, Born Again, Changed, completely the Lords.....then the rest...still submitting to the Lord and DH....
~Oh~!, Ladies, let me encourage you to submit, to the Final Authority, Jesus Christ.

Love from my Heart,

Terri

June 22, 2009 Monday...Earning His Trust...........

Earning His Trust....
Have you ever wondered why your DH does not trust your judgement?, or even worse you? Read on and see how you can change his feelings in that area towards you....
Beware, this may take work on your part in your heart..........
Not all women are as wise as some women. Years ago I knew a sweet young girl who was really dumb. She had a very tender heart(which she thought was Gods love and compassion in her), and she always showed a weakness for men who "needed" her. Her name was Sunny, and she was as fair and lovely as the Sunshine she was named for. Sunny always picked up hitchhikers to witness to, even though the older told her this practice was not wise. One day she picked up a young man of Arab descent, who looked and talked very romantic. To make a long story short, Sunny married him.
She was soon pregnant with their first child, and in a matter of weeks, the violence began. Over the next 7 years, Sunny was rugularly subjected to his alcoholic rages and beatings, and she endured his flaunted unfaithfulness. She and the children were alone for days at a time, even weeks, as her husband stayed with "friends". He returned home to vent his rage and take the few dollars she earned to support their growing family. When Sunny was pregnant with their third baby, Ahmed came home drunk and tried to kil her with a butcher knife. Only the miraculous intervention of an Almighty God spared her life.
Every time Ahmed came home raging drunk, Sunny would leave the house with the loud railing accusations and go to her mothers home and cry out her sorrows. She would get on the phone and call all of her friends and tell them what Ahmed was doing to her. But she did not leave him.
One day, I saw her at a church meeting---a huddled, sodden mass of tears and exhaustion. Sunny confessed to plotting her husbands murder. She said she couldn't tolerate life any more as it was, but her children needed her. So she had decided to kill her husband instead. Her murder plan was well thought out and could have succeeded if God had not sropped her.
I spent hours in prayer and counseling with Sunny that evening. I asked her to make a decision, either to leave her Husband once and for all and put the pieces of her life bback together, or to stay with him and begin a campaign of winning his heart and saving their life together. I fully expected her to leave him that night; but I discovered something amazing about her: Sunny really wanted Gods will in her life. She had grasped and eternal vision about life, and she now believed God could save her man.(DO YOU????)
I knew of Sunnys weakness to blab everything ; she could not keep a secret to save her life. I also knew her husband was a very private man, and that her blabbing about his sins kept him in a rage, as it would any man. I explained to Sunny that in order to win her husbands heart, she needed to reverence him. This did not mean she had to see some goodness or worth in him that was not really there, but that she needed to show him esteem for the sake of her children and herself.
Sunny alredy did everything else right. She was obedient, faithful, cheerful, a keeper at home and a help meet. I encouraged her to go one step further and look for an opportunity to reverence her husband. She was not to speak ill of him ever again. Her conversations with others, as well as with him, would be only praise and appreciation.
Sunny had a learners heart(Do You?). She took my advice, and the change in her husband was obvious in just one week. It is amazing how vulnerable a man is when a woman treats him with honor. He stopped going off with his drunken friends and got a job so he could help support the family. He came to Church occasionally and seemed amazed at the comments prople made. "Sunny says you play the saxophone like a genius". "Sunny told us you were a hamdsome man", "We've been looking forward to meeting you; Sunny told us....." Her Husband was shocked, and Sunny continued on her mission. A week or so later, she got encouraging boosts in the form of a dream.
She dreamed that a top government official came to the office building where her husband worked on a cleanin g crew. The official had a meeting with the manager of the business and told him,"I need to hire a man for the managerial position in my department. The qualifications required are faithfulness, hardworking, honesty, punctuality, and intelligence....no special education needed. We can always teach him what he does not know, but, we cant give him work ethics. So do you have anyone who has a good work ethic like that? the manager said, "I have one guy who fits that profile, but he is just the clean-up man." In Sunnys dream, the government official said, "I don't care if the guy can't read or write, if he is faithful, hardworking guy that I can trust and depend on, then I will hire him and double his wages." In her dream, her husband was hired by the government official to fill a managerial position.
When Sunny awoke, she excitedly told her husband the dream. She was sure that it was a sign he was destined for greatness. Remember what we learned when we studied "Mr. Visionary", how greatness is a state of soul, not certain accomplishments of the lack of them? Previously, when Sunny called her friends to "TELL" them what a creep her husband was, she was reinforcing to him the belief that she thought he was a looser. She publicly shamed him, and he continued to be shameful. Her opinion became his frame of reference. Now Sunny began to publicly exalt him, with miraculous results.
Her husband thought of her dream as silly, but he held his head a little higher when he went to his regular job the next day---on time! Sunny went to her mothers house and got on the phone. She called her friends and told them her dream. This time.....her DH did not mind her blabbing!
To my knowledge, her husband is still on the cleaning crew, and Sunnys dream was just that---a dream. But it expressed her heart toward her husband, and her opinion of him was far more important to him than any job he could ever get. When she dreamed he was a winner and told it around, Her husband tried to live up to that image-----LADIES..THIS IS A KEY..WHAT WE SAY ABOUT OUR DH'S IS HOW THEY ARE----So do say uplifting things, or tear them down because they are as human as you?
Her husband found such pleasure in her life that he wanted to find out about her God....In time, He learned to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. The las time I visited with her, they were both growing in the Lord together.
The Scripture says, she won him "without word" (Bible) by her "conversation"(1Peter 3:1). God's way works. Who would have ever believed it? Sunny did-------Can You?
Ladies, where is your heart in this story(true by the way)....Do you lift up your husband in front of others(ie...family, children, friends, church people)...or do YOU make remarks, tell tale things, tell about his faults?
Lets try this week, to ONLY say good things about our DHs....It not only changes our hearts, but, others too.....

Chapter 12...by Divine Apointment (last entry).....

Marriage Made in Heaven....
So, is a woman a second-class citizen of the kingdom? Is she to be a subdued, browbeaten servant to the male species? Certainly not! What the Bible teaches will not pur women back in the stone ages, nor will it tuen us into a bunch of women who stayed covered in black.....God does not teach that..for you to be happy---really happy---as I have been happy, you MUST follow and abide in God's role for women.
God has spoken frankly as to why he made us as he did and what our role is to be.
Yet, today others tear apart what God and the Bible teaches and make the average young wife reading these Scriptures feel as though what God has said to her in an insult. I(Debbie Pearl) have spent 35 years counseling, a wife, reading thousands upon thousands of letters, and chalking up my own life experiences, I have concluded that what the Bible says on this subject is ROCK solid truth and it works!!!! I have also seen the reults of bad teaching and teaching against the Scriptures.
My conclusions can be said to be scientifically correct. That is, the "evidence" that leads to my conclusion is reproducible: Anyone can test it and get the same results. The Creator knows best, and HIS way does work. His Word is meant to be taken at face value.
And, when any woman does as I have done, the blessings are incredible!(Just a note from me,Terri, the writer of this blog,, It truly works, my marriage was a wreck, my heart towards my DH was awful [dissrespectful, distainful, hateful and awful!!] but, God saw me really wanting to change and it has totally changed for the good, respect has come to my heart and a genuine love for my DH and also, he for me...ONLY a God who loves me and cares for my marriage could do this marvelous work!!!) I(Debbie) have received thousands of letters from woman who have entered into this wonderful plan for women and their marriage, and they just simply believed and followed and let God do the work in their hearts concerning their place as women. Broken homes, ladies who are church taught, rebellious ladies, and other such things in our world today, have been set free, all learning to honor their men and become good help meets. Marriages that all were made on this earth, remade into Godly good marriages.....Do you know even one couple who says they have a heavenly marriege? I know that the angels in heaven stand amazed at how much a man can love a woman, how he can break down weeping at the thought of how precious she is to him. The reason he loves her so is because she IS precious. She has earned his total adoration and love. She is what God asks of a woman, and the end result is a man who cherishes her beyond anything this world can know.
(LADIES<>>>> this is the way it happened with me, my heart turned upside down, all because I allowed God to reveal to me, "the real me", towards my DH...He showed me how repulsive my disrespect was to Him, and then gave me the tools to go on and change...NO, it WAS NOT EASY!!!!,,,but, so much worth the self control and time to work on it...)
When someone tells you that the Greek doesn't read submit, obey, or silence, just ask that person, "How is your marriage?....Would you say it is glorious?....Will God use your marriage as an example to show others how He wants a Marriage?"
Those who change the Word of God concerning a woman being a helpmeet do so because they don't know the wonder of a marriage made in heaven like I do.
If you want what I(Debbie Pearl and I, Terri) and thousands of other women have, then you must follow the plan the way God wrote it in the Bible. It simply will not work any other way....

TIME TO CONSIDER.....

God set up a chain of aommand, first in Heaven, and then again here on earth. When you do not honor that command, you dishonuor God, and apart from repentance, you can expect to reap the sure consequences.
"But, I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of every woman is the man: and the head of Christ is God"(I Cor. 11:3). Don't question Gods chain of command, and don't attempt to break any of its links.
Make a new habit....
Start thinking and acting as though your husband is the head of the company and you are his secretary. Look for ways to help him in his managerial position.

>Traits of a good Help Meet....
~~She fears God.
~~She believes Gods Word as it is written.
~~She considers her position as a help meet a privileged command.

>Getting serious with God......
Make a list for each day of the week....
MONDAY: Write three new things that you will add to your life that will cause you to become more precious to your husband.
TUESDAY: List three things that you can do that will be a help to him.
WEDNESDAY;: Write down 3 things you can do that will be an encouragement to him.
THURSDAY: Jot down 3 things that you can do to your appearance that you can change, which he is sure to like.
FRIDAY: List 3 things that you can do to your house that will please Him.
SATURDAY: Write 3 things you can do that will make him feel like a man(intimate time together?).
SUNDAY: Plan 3 ways you can respond to him in front of others that will show a heart of respecct and honor toward him.(This here alone will help to change the way he sees you!!!)

This is not easy ladies, but, because of such a change in my heart, it is possible. Without the Lord as ones Saviour, one cannot possibly do this, one needs to have confidence in the Scriptures and God for this to work. It has taken about 2 years for the fruits to show in my marriage, lots of biting my tongue, no remarks back, no attitudes towards him if he did not do what "I "thought He should, and lots of LOVIN".....BUT...LAdies...it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will fail, you will blow it, you will make mistakes, but, God is a God of compassion, and LOVE...He is right there to pick you up, so you can go again...
DONT GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU CAN DO IT<<>>>>>>>>>

Love to all who read this...

By Divine Appointment............

This is a continuation of "Created to be his helpmeet"..
Tis so needed in ur society today.Only with God and His power can one change from a boss to a submissive wife and be happy, here is more on that subject.....
Your DH did that he may be, is appointed by God to be your immediate Superior Officer inthe chain of commans. Your position under him is where God pur you for your own spiritual, emotional, and physical safety. It is the only position where you will find real fulfillment as a woman. Dont worry about the quality of leadership, for he is under the oversight of Jesus Christ. He must answer to God for how he leads his "troops'. You must answer to God for how you obey the one he placed over you. It takes faith in God to trust him when all you seem to see is one carnal man leading you--to "God only knows where".
In all of this "submit and superior" talk, rememver this: Giod is focusing our attention on the heavenly pattern. The emphasis is not on woman submittingto men, but rather showing, here on earthm the heavenly opattern of the son submitting tothe Father.
"He is not saved", you say! Gods Word remains the final authority. Your husband is your knight in shining armour. Even if his armour appears a bit rusty and dull, it is till the armour of God, your safe covering in everything.
JUST a note from me, this above is true, as I learned to submit and respect my DH, He actually blossomed into what God and I really wanted all along! No, He is not perfect and makes mistakes, but, with the respect I have learned for him, through Gods Grace, He does not cowar from me, and can pick himself up and go again. To think, He cowared because of me, YUK!
God tells us that we are to be His help meets: We are to submit to him, obey, and even reverence our DHs. He also tells us WHY we are assigned the role of helper.

1. We came forth from mans ribs and were created for him. We are part of him.
"For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man"(1 Cor. 11:7-9).

2. Our position in relation to our husband is a picture of the Great Mystery, which is Christ and the Church. We, as the body as Christ, are for
Him, our living Head. It can be no other way!
"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of every woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God"(1 Cor. 11:3).
"This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church...and the wife see that she reverence her DH"(Eph. 5:32-33).

God tells why our DH is to be the one who rules the home. God explains why it is never his will for the wife to rule.

1. The fall into sin was due to a woman's inherent vulnerability.
"For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression"(1 Tim. 2:13-14).
"For a man indeed...is the image and lgory of God: but the woman is the glory of man"(1 Cor. 11:7).
2. Curses were placed on the guilty in the fall.
"Unto woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over you"(Gen. 3:16).
It was Gods design, before the fall, that the womans desire would be to her husband and that he would rule over her. This relationship was not punishment, but after the fall it would be a source of suffering for the woman. God created the woman to be the helper of the man---a sinless man. Now that Eve led Adam into sin, Eve is still his helper, her desires are still focused on him and his goals, and he will still rule over her as before--but now, he is sinful, selfish, and carnal.
I think we will wait until next week, for more...
Have a blessed week.
Lets remember to stop and think before we speak, listen to our DHs more and try and not be His "BOSS".........
Love to all...............

Continuation of..."The nature of men and women"..

"The Virtuous Woman....

Proverbs 31 defines the virtuous woman. She is NOT MOUSY, voiceless prude. She is confident, hardworking, creative and resourceful. Her first virtue is that the heart of her husband is safe with her. That is, he can trust her with his thoughts and feelings, never fearing that she might use the private knowledge she has of him to hurt him in any way. A man will maintain a distance from his wife, never really opening up to her, if he senses she might give this knowledge out inadvertently or use it against him when they are out of sorts. A man whose heart is safe with his wife will never tell her what he intends to do or how he feels, because on previous occasions she has assumed the role of overseer by taking it upon herself to be his conscience and the manager of his time. She reminds him of what he said he was going to do ina manner that says, "I am holding you to it. What is wrong with you? Are you a sloth or something?"

He finds it more peaceful to keep his own counsel. Wives, never use your special knowledge of your husband as leverage to get your way.

If this passage in Proverbs had been written from our modern perspective, it would have extolled her for having a "quiet time" and being a "prayer warrior", teacher, or counselor. In all the Scriptural profiles of righteous women, including Proverbs 31, no such concepts are ever mentioned. In our culture, we have lost a a clear understanding of what constitutes a virtuous woman. We have accepted the modern idea of the "spirtitual" woman circulating in the realm of religious power, and have forgotten that God does not see them in the same "glorious" light. What we think is spiritual, God labels "Jezebel"."For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord"(Isiah 55:8).

A woman working beside her man is a spiritual force for them both. A woman providing good intimacy and fun company is offering her husband a spiritual benefit. A woman preparing healthy meals and cutting the grass so he can go fishing on Saturday is a spiritual woman, because she is placing him above herself. There is no greater love than to put another first.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<"Dominance and control is always a masculine trait and characteristic.">>>>>>>>>>>

It is important for a woman to understand that she must be feminine(devoid of dominance and control)in order for her man to view her as his exact counterpart, and thus willingly respond to her protectively, with love and geltleness.

A woman who criticizes her husband for watching too much TV, playing too much golf, or indulging in a any frivolous activity is expressing dishonor. When the relationship is properly balanced, a wife can make an appeal at the right time and in the right manner, and it need not be challanging to his authority. We will speak of how to make an appeal in due course. But know of a certainity that when a woman continually tries to assert her own will against her husbands, throwing it up to him that he is wrong, she is usurping authority over him, lording it over him, and dishonoring him. A women who continues in this behaviour blasphemes God and can expect Gods unsure reward.

I say again; when a woman steps outside her nature and assumes the dominant role, she will soon become emotionally and physically exhausted.

A man cannot cherish a strong woman who expresses her displeasure of him.

You say, that HE should model Christs love regardless of how SHE acts. Is this what you want? Is it what Christ wants? Do you wnat your husband to be forced to seek supernatural power just to find a ways to love you? Do you want to be another of his trials--his greatest example of overcoming adversity?

The home front should not be a spiritual battlefield; it should be the place where a man relaxes and can be vulnerable with the woman he cherishes. Men will always want to reclaim those times when love was fun and free, with no demands, like the times when she would smile at him with that sweet, girlish, "I think you are wonderful" expression. She was so feminine then, so much the woman. He wanted to hold her just because she was a bundle of delightful joy. He would do anything for her.

TIME TO CONSIDER:

God placed man in the position of HEAD of the family, not because he is wiser or more capable, but because it is part of Gods plan.

When people thn k of your family, do they see your husband as the principlc player, or do they think of you as the main character? Would they refer to your family as "Cathys family", od as "Johns family"..? Have you usurped the position of headship?

the very first command god ever gave to a women was,

"Thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee"(Gen. 3:16). Is your desire toward your husband? Do you live to please him?, Or, do you expect him to live up to YOUR convictions and whims. Do you spend your days in angry frustration over his unwillingness to change to your specifications?

If so, you have become Jezebel !!!!!!!!!!!

The nature of man and woman....Ruth and Esther Profile....

In contrast, God reveals the ideal woman in positive stories about women who honored him. The story of Ruth is about a young girl who had known tragedy, extreme poverty, and hard menial work. Yet, she maintained a thankful and submissive attitude. Read the book of Ruth and see a beautiful example of bold femininity that caused Boaz to love and admire her. Note her willingness to work and her willing obedience to the Scriptural teaching of her aged mother-in-law, Naomi. And lastly, see the wonderful blessing God showered on her in placing her nto the lineage of his only begotten son..

Esther is the story of a Jewish Girl who lost her family and was taken by force to bewcome the wife of an older, divorced, heathen man. She could have asked herself the silly question, "Is he really even my husband? Did I marry the right man?, since he was divorced?" If she had, there never would have been a book in the Bible describing her courage, honor, and fortitude.

She was put(by her husbands decree) in danger of losing her own life and the lives of all her people, the Jews. Yet, she rose above her circumstances and her natural fear, to honor her husband, even as she made an appeal to save her own life, along with the lives of her people.

God has laid down only a few simple rules for women to follow, because they are consistent with our feminine nature and the nature of men. It was Esther's submission to these principles that won the King's love and his appreciation for her as his queen. These 2 women showed themselves womanly and lovable in the midst of extreme circumstances. God honored them with his favor and favor from the men in their lives.

Love to all who read this, May we all apply this to our lives...

Unconditional Surrender

Good Morning Ladies....

I thought for today, I would share my thoughts about this title....What does that mean , you are thinking...Lets find out....

Immediate and unconditional surrender is the only way we can truly serve God. In the battles of life, those who loose are at the mercies of the winners. If the loosers don't give up, immediately and unconditionally to their captives, it just wouldn't work for the loosers.

If we desire to live a Christian life, the only way we can, and the thing Jesus offers is "freedom", but, with unconditional surrender of our hearts and minds and wills.

Luke 14:31..We wonder, "Why is Christianity not clear, why cannot I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? Could it be a lack of complete surrender in our lives? Am I willing to do whatever the Holy Spirit asks of me? Even when it goes against my own thinking? Rev. 2:26-28

Matthew...Are we holding onto a "part" of ourselves, that perhaps God has ask us to give up and let go of? We don't want anyone else to know, we want to keep it secret....We may think it's a secret, but, Our Heavenly Father, sees it all, and we really are not fooling anyone, are we?

God is very merciful to us, He will not require anything of us, that He would not give us the strength to overcome, or walk through. He's not a harsch God, He does not hold a rod over our heads to clunk us, when we do wrong, He is merciful, and ever bearing with us. He wants us to be "free" of our "secret" sins...... It may be painful to go through, we may have to be humble enough to be wrong.....but, that is the way we are free.....

When we are truly broken, we will want to be what he wants us to be.....We will want to do right, that doesn't mean we wont fail, we will, but, he is

there to "lift our arms that hang down"..and help us along....We can then have the vision to see wht God is requiring of us. Humility ONLY comes when we are truly broken and ready and willing for whatever He has for us....

Matthew 10 says....."...come unto me all ye that are heavey laden...for "I" will give you rest..."

I want to encourage us to give our "all" to Jesus, and allow Him the room to "set us free"...

May we be faithful so, no matter what, even when its tough and looks like a mountain to us, we may fall on our knees and repent.

Love from my heart this morning...

Part 2..."What exactly is a "Helpmeet"?

Good morning Ladies and friends,Gretings in Jesus name....

Here it is a week later, and how was your week?, tough, trials, hard, happy, frustrating.....well, you are not alone with these feelings. We are human and one can run all of these emotions plus more(not to give room for just letting our flesh run away with us)....the thing I want to zero in on, is ...."How did you handle them?", especially with DH?

Did you blow it, come "unglued", yell, snap, get silent...?,,,beleive you me, I have experienced all of these plus.....PLEASE to know, you are not alone......

Do you know Jesus as your Saviour, so you have the power to overcome?, or are you just "playing" the Christianity game?

Lets go on and discover what our lesson is about this week....

Ready....

Genesis 2:18, 21,22

And the Lord God said,

"It is not good that the man should be alone I will make him an help meet for him"

And the Lord God cause a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up his flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Now, all kinds of questins are running through your mind, right? Like I said last week, I am not a writer, but, just want to share what is on my mind.

Is "He" perfect and will He ever be?

I think, you can answer that....As any of you have learned, getting married doesn't really mean living "Happily ever after", it means a lot of hard work and ups, and downs. Every person is a sinner and we need to realize, that our "man" will make a lot of mistakes, walk in his flesh and generally be a "sinner".....Just as I said earlier, we "know" we are sinners and give ourselves room for our sin, "Why not your man?"

It will take a real effort to make a good marriage, this takes doing things one normally wouldn't do perhaps, maybe every day, hour and sometimes minute. God gave you to your man and "YOU" are the most precious gift God could ever give to him.

Then He tells us in Proverbs 18:22, that man needs a wife. "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing; and obtaineth favour of the Lord."

If you are a wife, you are created to fill a need, a helper ;made for the needs of a man. A woman is by nature created and endued with every thing needed to be his complete helpmeet. You are not in your proper place if you don't function within your created nature, if you are filling a mans place.

You were to make him "complete", not to get personal fulfillment "parallel" to him. So you see, a woman cannot function like a man and the opposite it true also, neither is created to function like the other.

For you ladies, that are single from whatever reason, Pleas stick with me, learning this will endue you with the necessary tools to be a "Feminine" part of our society, and if the Lord would ever to put you with
"Your Helpmeet", then you will be in your created place.

Do you think Adam was excited when He awoke from his divine sleep? What do you think He thought when He awake with "Her" next to him? We will leave your thoughts in your own head, but, If God really did create a special woman for "him", then could that woman be you for your man? Do you think men are that much different then Adam, when He awoke?

Do you really want to be His helpmeet? Do you want to be His helper?

Gods will is that you "want" to do those things....When you are a helpmeet to your man, you are a helper to God, for God commissioned men for a purpose and gave him a "woman" to assist in His divine calling. When you honor your man(respect, trust, reverence), then you do the same about God. Are we 1/2 heartedly reverencing our man?, then we are 1/2 heartedly reverencing God. There is a direct link to those 2. I remember when God brought that to me..whew!..that was a big pill to swallow, I was disrespecting my man, and that went for God also,,Now, you say, "wait a minute".....think about it, if we follow Gods word only to the extent it does not "disrupt" our lives, and only to the point, that others are not "bothered", by our Christianity, Is that less than God would want for you?...and the same is true for your man, is that less than God would want for your respect for him?

As we serve our man, we serve God.

Now, your thinking, "How can I respect him when he....______________________!" (You can fill in the blank), If you fill in the blank with what you think and feel, then it will seem abaolutely unnattainable to you, but, if you fill in this blank with what God says, and your heart is right with your Lord, then it will not seem unnatatinable, just a little overwhelming. Please don't throw me out or what God may have for you this week and in the week to come, please let him show you, "you" and what He would have for you in your heart this week, and in the weeks to come. It is easy for our flesh to "throw" something all away if it doesn't work the first, second, or maybe even third time, but, lets not, and persevere to hear Gods voice for us.

Has God changed His mind over the centuries?

All through the new Testament the Apostles wrote us to tell us that He has not! His original plan for man and woman is still the same as it was in the begining. Do you think Adam and Eve had to learn how to be Husband and wife? 1 Cor. 11:8 & 9 "For the man is not of the woman; but, the woman of the man. Neither was the man created fo rthe woman; but the woman for the man."

I really dont know if they did or not, but, God has not changed.

Regardless of who you are, your position in life right now, color, race, or status, God will is still that you are really created to be your mans helpmeet.

Gods will is that you be a suitable helper to your man...1 Cor. 7:34 "There is s difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the thibgs of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may PLEASE HER HUSBAND."

"This is wierd", you are thinking, you are right, our flesh/mind does not mind the things of the Spirit, but, the things of the world, it cannot understand the things of God. To think your DH deserves you as aHis helpmeet..?

You can only be what God created you to be..."IF"...you stay within your place within Gods order. When a woman wants to be in a mans role of leadership, that will not make you, him, nor anyone else happy. It is not a question who can do the better job, it is a matter of who is created to do it?

If a woman does a mans job, you as a woman will not be content with it, there will always be something that is not right, yet, you cannot figure it out.

It is better if the job be done poorly by your DH, than good by you. Your female nature cannot be made over to fit the mans nature, neither, can it be done the opposite.

The role of "Helpmeet", does not make one inferior to a man, nor, does it mean that the man "lords" it over a woman.

Men are created to be helpers of God. Jesus willingly helped the Father, the Holy Spirit the Son. Everyone must submit to some kind of authority in life, but, this again, does not make one inferior because of submitting to authority.

God made women to be a helpmeet to their husbands so they can upift him, helping him to be more productive. When I realized "I" was to help him be more productive, WOW!....that made me feel... not inferior, but, worth something(not to be puffed up, but, worth something). A woman is not "His" board of directors, nor do you have an equal vote, but, she is Created to be his closest, confidante', his friend, one he can lean on when everything else is at odds in this old world of ours.

But!....all at his discretion.

His wifes readiness to please him(now, don't go and throw the baby out with the bath water, hang in there!)....helps her to be motivated to see what her DH really would like. She would gladly do these things,(there are exceptions, remember, we will cover this later), A man would know she is a fine woman then. Do you think other man notice, when a woman reverences her DH? Do you think, they wish their wives, would reverence them like that? Lets, be that woman who reverences her DH, lets let others see what God can do to a "submitted" heart, and a "willing" Spirit.

Competant and Contented, does not mean "Take Over", nor does it mean a "mouse", it means, Prov. 12:4.."A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed(correcting her man, usurping authority over him) is as rottenness to his bones". OUCH! but, Gods word is true, lets ponder this the next week.

It is our ""Jobs"" to learn how we can "help" our DHs in any way we can, The fact, that you are reading this, shows that you want to be his "Contented Helpmeet"....and your hearts desire to honor God by becoming a Helpmeet to him.

Now, your homework.... Look up these words for next week, and ponder them....

Reverence

Helpmeet

Grace

Also, think about one of those "things" on your list you wrote down last week, and ask God to show you how to work on it....

Looking forward to "seeing" you next week, ...

Keep the Faith dear loved ones and friends....

Are we our husbands helpmeet?, or what?

Are we?

As I ponder this question, I wonder who we are....?

I am not a accomplished writer or famous, just a Mother of 6, Grandmother of 10 and married for wayyy too many years to ist....not all joyfully however, That is the point of my blog, to help all of Christian women be more happy being our Husbands Helpmeet.

You ask, how to do it, well, stay with me in these next few months and hopefully, you too, can learn how to be more happy being your husbands "Helpmeet".

God commands us older women to teach the younger women the wonders of wifehood. I can think of no better way to obey this comand than for me to share with you my readers what I have learned and am still learning through Gods School.

Regardlesss, of what you have ben in the past, with instructions from Gods word, you too, can become the heavenly gift to your husband.

Yeah, right, you think and may say outloud, If you will stick with this blog, and take to heart and practice what I outline, you can become that "dream" for your man.

You do have a choice in how your life plays out. Some of you fight against the "pricks" so to speak, and your present situation, making no progress. You are fighting in quicksand, you fight everyone and everything...

It is time to stop fighting and start learning Gods plan for you and your husband and your marriage.

Someone once said, "Anything worth having is worth fighting for"..I believe tha to the uttermost.

My marriage and respect for my husband was non existent, I fought him at every turn, thus, He would just back down and that would frustrate me, because, He was not being the head of the home.

You are embarking on a journey to learn Gods design for women. What He has called us to be as a women and Wife and mother.

Each day and sometimes hour will be desicions you will make one way or the other.

Your man is not perfect, so don't expect him to be, are you?

If you are single, hurt because of a past disaster in marriage, single and never been married, this will also help you to learn to be what God says in His Word.

I already know these things, you say, or think, so, why not learn more? Who can have too much "truth" in this day and age?

Stay with me, and you will learn....
Now, make a list of 10 things you would like to see changed within your marriage or heart..hang on to it, put it in a safe place so you can refer to it in the next few months.
I will post every week on Mondays...

I hope to hear reports in the next few months of how these truths have helped you to become the "Woman God would have you be".

Thanks for reading....
Love To You...
Terri
