~~~***WELCOME***~~~~
As I read my devotions today, it was soooo good, I thought Id share it with you ...
This is from ..."My Utmost for His Highest"...from Oswald chambers..
The Discipline of Spiritual Tenacity
"Be still, and know that I am God."
Tenacity is more than endurance, it is endurance combined with the absolute certainty that what we are looking for is going to transpire.
Tenacity is more than hanging on, which may be but the weakness of being too afraid to fall off. Tenacity is the supreme effort of a man refusing to believe that his hero is going to be conquered. The greatest fear a man has is not that he will be damned, but that Jesus Christ will be worsted, that the things he stood for---love and justice and forgiveness and kindness among men---will not win out in the end; the things he stands for will look like will-o-the-wisps. Then comes the call to spiritual tenacity, no to hang on and do nothing, but to work deliberately on the certainty that God is not going to be worsted.
If our hopes are being disappointed just now, it means that they are being purified. There is nothing noble the human mind has ever hoped for or dreamed of that will not be fulfilled. One of the greatest strains in life is the strain of waiting for God.
"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience."
Remain Spiritually tenacious...
Bye for now....
~~~~WELCOME~~~~

I came on here early this morning to type the "Created to be His helpmeet" today and found out its on Mondays....OK !!!

So...I guess its suppose to be my thoughts...which I did yesterday...boy oh boy! I am beginning to wonder if my brain will ever be back to what it was before hubby passed....being in this state right now is probably the most difficult thing I have ever had to do, but, I KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt that my Lord and Saviour has it all in His plan for His glory and for my good...

Have you ever wondered what is going on when all falls apart in your life? I just want to encourage you to NOT go by feelings go by what you read in Gods Word....

Hey, lelts read a devotion together this morning/afternoon/evening..from the little book by Oswald Chambers..."My Utmost For His Highest"....

Its todays... The Initiative Against Despair....

"Rise , let us be going..."(Matt. 26:46)

     The disiciples went to sleep when they should have kept awake, and when they realized what they had done it produced despair. The sense of the irreparable is apt to make us despair., and we say ---
"Its all up now, it is no use trying any more,"
If we imagine that this kind of despair is exceptional, we are mistaken, it is a very human ordinary experience. Whenever we realize that we have not done that which we had a magnificent opportunity of doing, the we are apt to sink into despair; and Jesus Christ comes and says---"Sleep on now, that opportunity is lost forever, you cannot alter it, but arise and go to the next thing." Let the past sleep on the bosom of Christ, and go out into the irresistible future with Him.

   There are experiences like this in each of our lives. We are in despair, the despair that comes from actualities, and we cannot lift ourselves out of it. The disciples in this instance had done a downright unforgivable thing; they had gone to sleep instead of watching with Jesus, but He came with a spiritual initiative against their despair and said---"Arise and do the next thing."

    If we are inspired of God, what is the next thing? To trust Him absolutely and to pray on the ground of His Redemption.

Never let the sense of failure corrupt your new action....

Bye for now...

Continuation on "The Kingdom that turned the world upside down"....

One needs to read the post from last week, on this new book, and one will understand what this post is about...
   So the wicked leader and his soldiers lost little sleep over the Crusders. they knew they had plenty of water, and abundance of food, better arms, and the seemningly impregnable city walls to protect them. And they had 60,000 armed soldiers to defend those walls!  Whats more, a relief source of Egyptian Soldiers was on its way to life the siege. And against all of this, what did the Crusaders have?  About 1200 knights  was all---supported by poorly equipped, ragged band of 11,000 soldiers, sailors, and workmen. Altogether, the Crusaders had less than 13,000 men against 60,000 armed enemies. Plus, the Crusaders were fighting in an unknown land and wre unaccustomed to the dersert heat, so different from their homeland of France. Yes, they were something to laugh at.
   But the laughter stopped 5 days later when, to the surprise of the enemy, the Crusaders wheeled several HUGE wooden siege towers towards the walls of Jerusalem. the Crusaders had been constructing these monstrous structures in secret from the wood they had salvaged. Each tower was equipped with virtually everything a medieval army needed: a catapult, battering ram, drawbridge, and lofty turret from which the Crusaders could rain arrows down on the citys defenders. Whats more, inside each seige tower was a small army of Frankish Crusaders, eager to pour out the city once the walls had been breached.
   Seeing the dreaded towers, the enemy defences began building up their defences on those parts of the wall opposite the towers. However, on the night before the Crusaders attacked, they silently dismantled some of the towers and moved them nearly a mile away to parts of Jerusalems walls that were less fortified. It was an unbelieveable undertaking under any conditions. but in their weakened condition, it was an almost superhuman accomplishment. When the morning light gently bathed the Jerusalem landscape on the morning of Thursday, July 14, thee nemy defenders were stunned in disbelief. they couldn't believe that some of the towers had been moved during the night.

More next week....

Frame of reference....

Frame of reference...
A mans concept of marriage is different from a womans. Especially after he has gone without intimacy for a few days. This book is not a "how to" for a man. I will skip his part and deal with the ladies part. God describes marriage as"they two shall be one flesh", which is, their bodies coming together.
   Many men feel that marriage is not quite what they thought it was going to be. Some men spend their youth dreaming about the wild passion they are going to experience with the one woman they love more than life. It is their expression of the oneness they will have with her alone and her alone. This is truly Gods design for a man in the department of love .
   The man remembers the passinate looks his sweetheart gave him before marriage. He had  naturally assumed that she would always think of him in that all-consuming loving way.
   When they were courting, that is the way she made him feel. He saw it refelcted in her face. All he wanted was to satisfy that hungry anumal he thought she was, and, for a while, she was all he had hoped for; but then
it faded away. She wasnt interested anymore. Her disinterest in him intimately is a reflection of her heart, and he knows it. Ther are a multitude of excuses women use to explain why they would "rather not" or why they "cannot respond" this way. I think  her husband knows in his spirit that all her excuses are just that:excuses for not wanting him.

My computer is acting up again, I can only write a few lines then it shuts off.

Some dont's.....

I hope and pray that all of you who read my blog had a good Holiday.....Who was your reason for celebrating?

The last post was on "How to be a good wife today"...this one is

"Some dont's".....

***Don't greet him with problems...

***Don't complain if he is late for dinner. Count this as minor compared with what he might have gone through that day. Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in His comfortable chair, or take a short nap before supper. Have his favorite drink ready, go with him to make him comfortable. Allow him to relax and unwind.

***Listen to him..... You may have a dozen things to share, but, the moment of his coming home is NOT the time....Let him talk first. (This will take time, expecially if, you have always "ruled the roost...").

***Make the evening his. Never complain if he does not take you out to supper or to other places of entertainment. Instead, try to understand his world of stress and pleasure, his need to be home and relax.

"The goal: try to make your home a place of peace, serenity and order, where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit."

Do you see what has happened in the last 50 years? Every high school girl was taught a conservative world view that was msore bibilical in perspective than what the churches teach today.

"A wise woman patterns her life after her husband's. His working, playing, eating, and sleeping habits become hers.
