The Hall

There is no permanent cure for genital herpes and many other forms of STDs. Yet one in five young teens in the USA has a sexually transmitted disease. Many statistics also tell us that one in four little girls will be sexually "messed with" by the time they are four years old. One in five little boys will be victims of homosexual abuse. Our children are in grave danger in todays world, not only from emotional trauma, but also from many of these diseases.

   How many times will your little toddler wander down the hall(while you sit in a roomful of friends engrossed in a video)before some young "trustworthy" teenage boy slips silently behind him or her and maneuvers her into the bathroom for a four minute "session"? You cannot pray and expect God for supernatural intervention and protection. God has already provided that for her through you. You can and must pray for God to make you a more attentive and sober parent, that you might better protect your children.

 

You are your babies keeper. PLEASE KEEP THEM WELL.

 

 

Hmmmm...I guess that hits it on the spot...if any of you are in this predicament...cry out to YOUR LORD and ask HIM for the strength to obey..

As I read my devotions today, it was soooo good, I thought Id share it with you ...

The Discipline of Spiritual Tenacity

 

"Be still, and know that I am God."

 

Tenacity is more than endurance, it is endurance combined with the absolute certainty that what we are looking for is going to transpire.

 

Tenacity is more than hanging on, which may be but the weakness of being too afraid to fall off. Tenacity is the supreme effort of a man refusing to believe that his hero is going to be conquered. The greatest fear a man has is not that he will be damned, but that Jesus Christ will be worsted, that the things he stood for---love and justice and forgiveness and kindness among men---will not win out in the end; the things he stands for will look like will-o-the-wisps. Then comes the call to spiritual tenacity, no to hang on and do nothing, but to work deliberately on the certainty that God is not going to be worsted.

 

If our hopes are being disappointed just now, it means that they are being purified. There is nothing noble the human mind has ever hoped for or dreamed of that will not be fulfilled. One of the greatest strains in life is the strain of waiting for God.

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience."

 

 

Remain Spiritually tenacious...

I came on here early this morning to type the "Created to be His helpmeet" today and found out its on Mondays....OK !!!

 

So...I guess its suppose to be my thoughts...which I did yesterday...boy oh boy! I am beginning to wonder if my brain will ever be back to what it was before hubby passed....being in this state right now is probably the most difficult thing I have ever had to do, but, I KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt that my Lord and Saviour has it all in His plan for His glory and for my good...

 

Have you ever wondered what is going on when all falls apart in your life? I just want to encourage you to NOT go by feelings go by what you read in Gods Word....

 

Hey, lelts read a devotion together this morning/afternoon/evening..from the little book by Oswald Chambers..."My Utmost For His Highest"....

 

Its todays... The Initiative Against Despair....

"Rise , let us be going..."(Matt. 26:46)

     The disiciples went to sleep when they should have kept awake, and when they realized what they had done it produced despair. The sense of the irreparable is apt to make us despair., and we say ---

"Its all up now, it is no use trying any more,"

If we imagine that this kind of despair is exceptional, we are mistaken, it is a very human ordinary experience. Whenever we realize that we have not done that which we had a magnificent opportunity of doing, the we are apt to sink into despair; and Jesus Christ comes and says---"Sleep on now, that opportunity is lost forever, you cannot alter it, but arise and go to the next thing." Let the past sleep on the bosom of Christ, and go out into the irresistible future with Him.

 

   There are experiences like this in each of our lives. We are in despair, the despair that comes from actualities, and we cannot lift ourselves out of it. The disciples in this instance had done a downright unforgivable thing; they had gone to sleep instead of watching with Jesus, but He came with a spiritual initiative against their despair and said---"Arise and do the next thing."

 

    If we are inspired of God, what is the next thing? To trust Him absolutely and to pray on the ground of His Redemption.

 

Never let the sense of failure corrupt your new action....

It seems the harder I try, the harder it is to get on here...with starting School, cleaning more houses and my little farm,,, also with being by myself it gets increasingly harder....

What is it going to take each of us to get to Heaven?

Can we fiddle around and half heartedly try, can we make fun of those who want to try and not come up alongside them and help them...? 

Can we afford to "not like" someone?

Can we say it and not live it? 
I don't know what it is going to take for you , but, for me, I know I had better fall on my knees and repent and try to
